flash (macromedia):

Hi,I get a message when trying to run the Flash 8 Video Encoder,it says that it
can't find the .msi file to install the encoder..any ideas??

Flash is running in a 2.0 Ghz Celeron M,764 MB of Ram,and 64 MB video card
(Intel Extreme Graphics 2),Windows Xp Pro

I'm in a similar situation

I had the same situation before, tried to get it back and now even my link
to it in the Start menu is gone

I tried reinstalling Flash 8 and selecting 'repair', and still no Flash
Video encoder.

How can I get this back again .. do I have to uninstall and reinstall Flash
8 to do this?

Good question. Uninstall/reinstall is where I'd begin. Especially if
you were on the beta..

work to give me back the video encoder stand-alone. It obviosuly doesn't do
all that good a job of repairing. Only other choice is uninstall and
reinstall (which I try to avoid if possible, especially when there is
copy-protection / registration software involved .. sometimes
uninstall/reinstall can confuse things)

Don't worry about the activation. It won't effect you in this case.
It's much less sensitive to reinstallation than it was in Flash MX 2004..

I've already try the unnistal/reinstall thing,but didn't work.I read around the
net that maybe there is a problem with Quicktime,because flash did't work
with Quicktime greater than Ver. 5.I'll try again ,and if can solve the issue
,post again.Thanks,Miguel

Done!!!Just unninstall Quicktime and Flash 8.Then, install Flash and then Quicktime (the lastest one ,if possible).Then it works.Thanks to all for the advices,good luck.Miguel
