flash (macromedia) : one slideshow to rule them all....

I need a slide show that does it all:

1) customizable buttons (prev, next, etc) to advance images
2) xml generated images and captions that can be formatted with bold or
simple style
3) looping of images (on last image, loops to beginning if you click again)
4) or, a restart button and buttons that indicate first, last, etc

I've tried a few - but they all have drawbacks, even the awesome
slideshowpro - I managed to get everything changed in it (custom
buttons, caption, format of text in the xml) but cannot get it to loop
back to the beginning image...

It was interesting to do, but I don't WANT to do it - I am a frontend
graphics, css, xhtml type developer and don't want to delve for hours on
hours into Flash, sorry (I would, but I barely have time for what I need
to be doing)

Suggestions?

I already have slideshowpro and XML Flash Slideshow v2 from dwuser

I've tried the tutorial on the Macromedia site, too, but again, it
doesn't loop back to the first image...

TIA

Hi, Donna,

Get a try with Wondershare Flash SlideShow Builder, an easy-to-use
utility to create Flash slide show from your photo images with many
effects. For more info, go visit http://www.flash-slide-show.com

I have been trying these programs. If you need something that quickly builds slideshows with basic customization and simple output... Amara works well, and Coffeecup is also pretty good.

Amara however, creates the slideshow as a single .swf file that's pretty easy to manage on your website. Coffeecup creates a directory, but it has some custom features for placement.

I tried Wondershare but it had very few features by comparison to these others. If you want full features, go with slideshowpro, or XML flash. If you just need a slideshow, Amara and Coffeecup will do a job pronto. Drag and drop, with no need to even resize your photos or anything.
