flashhatesme;
It seems odd that would have to use code you were not taught for a school
project, but it sounds like you have run into a very common issue with scene
targeting. A search of the forum archive (macromedia.flash at google groups)
will bring more information on this issue, but basically you need to avoid
using scene references when targeting frames from other timelines. Label the
first frame of each scene and target those frame labels on the main timeline
instead. -Tom Unger

Hello,

I'm making a flash band website for a school project and i am having some
problems. I followed a tutorial that allowed me to create a scroll down thing
for my text. i am very new to flash so i just copied and pasted the
actionscript not really knowing what it meant. everything worked out fine. now
i am trying to connect my navigation buttons with my other scenes and it is not
working. when i preview my file and click on the button, something weird
happens with the menu instead of going to the scene i wanted it to. if any of
you can help me i would greatly appreciate. this is URGENT, as this project is
due on thursday. if you need a better explanation or want to see what i am
talking about, please email or add me on msn: jenn_973@hotmail.com
PLEASE HELP!
Thanks,

Jenn.
