Doug -

Are you testing your site on a server? If it's a Windows 2003 IIS
server, you may have to ask your host to add the MIME type for FLVs.

I was trying for a whole day to figure out why mine wouldn't show up,
and it turned out to be this (common) issue. It's an issue with Windows
Server; Macromedia has a technote, here:

If you're not testing on a web server, are you sure all the files are
in the proper place relative to the main swf and html file, including
the swf for the skin?

I am building a 'flash' site. I want to play videos on the site. I have my flv
video files. 1st I tested the FLVplayback box and my flv file in a black
document = all works fine.

However, when I drop it into my flash site and test it, it doesnt appear....
at all?
I have tried everything, because this site stated out as a template I dont
know it well enough to work out whats wrong... to the trained it would probably
stick out like a saw thumb?

Is anyone willing to take a look at it for me?

Many thanks

Doug
