That's it? have you seen the other tools in the toolbox? you can draw freehand with the brush,
pencil, pen tool etc...

well i was wondering how can you create a shape (with an

not sure i understand why you have not found this to be intuitive - just grab a shape tool - set the
outline and fill color and then make the shape. if it needs to be a shape other than a sphere or
rectangle just draw it with the line/pencil tool and fill it in with the paint bucket. Or do the
opposite and draw the shape with fills and then use the ink bottle to apply an outline around it.

I can make a triangle but there has to be a way to draw

why can't you? you just described how to do it - make sure the *snap* tool is turned on (little red
magnet) and just draw lines - snap them together and fill it in with bucket.

make others meaning other shapes? same way - your post is confusing because you explain how you do
stuff then you ask how - when the answer is same as your explaination.

sorry if i missed your explaination - just seems you are so close to understanding the tools.

In flash you can create colored shapes. Like a square and a circle...well
actaully thats it...well i was wondering how can you create a shape (with an
outline) colored in? I can make a triangle but there has to be a way to draw
with the line tool with connected sides then fill it in but when i try i cant
can anyone help?

an example. I can make a triangle by making a square then morphing it but how
do i make others?

fill has a number of sub selections - try adjusting these - i also find zooming far out from the
stage will help fill the object.

haha, thanks that made me laugh... that is a pretty sorry looking triangle...

If you use the Pen tool instead of the Line tool, you can make it have a fill
when you close the path. Just specify a fill color in the tool panel.
Otherwise, you could always try the bucket tool?

okay, now drawing fills and using the ink tool worked but when i create a
triangle using the line tool(snap to objects on) then try to fill it in it
doesn't fill in. And when i try to add shadow and i snap it to the edges then
try to fill it doesn't when i click somewhere to fill it just does nothing...
