There is a term called "royalty free," which means that images, once
paid for, "belong" to the purchaser, in the sense that royalties need not be
paid to the original photographer. I haven't used Getty Images, but this
term is fairly commonplace nowadays.

You might be interested in Stock Exchange (http://www.sxc.hu/), which
offers royalty-free stock photography. I just visited the site, and it
looks like they're dealing with technical issues, but it says to return
soon. The idea at this site is that you submit your own photos for other
people to use, and you also may download the photos of other people.

Does anybody know about the "Free Royalti Pictures" that getty images offer?
does anybody can use them simply? or there are some restrictions? I have read
the agreement.. but it is a little bit confusing for me... any other info about
this or other similar site? thanx,
