flash (macromedia):
:confused; OK...here's my delema. (aside from being a computer idoit). Only
when I go to our Manufacturer's training web site and open one particular test,
everything goes very slow. I then get a pup up saying "A script in this movie
is causing Macromedia Flash Player 8 to run slowly. If it continues to run,
your computer may become unresponsive. Do you want to abort the script? YES
NO."
I can keep going if i click no, but takes several seconds to resume.

HERE is the kicker....this only happens with MY computer at my desk. I am
networked with several other comps. So I know it has to be a prog. in my
computer. I can go to any other comp and this does not happen. I contacted
the webside but they were lost. I also checked and I do have the latest
version of flash.

Any one have a hint or suggestion? (and remember, i am not vyer knowledgable
on comp programming or such)
Thanks

I work at a community college in the computer labs. Upon upgrading to flash
player 8, we found the same error in scsite.com's student labs. There isn't a
problem until we click on the results button. We then get the same script
problem that you did. Rolling back to version 7.*** fixed the problem. It is
my guess that the other computers that you have tried this on are running
version 7 and yours is the only one with version 8 on it.

One strange thing is that after you abort the script, and then right click to
check the settings of flash 8, the dialog box is going crazy. I've tried IE
settings on the security, privacy, and advanced tabs. Also tried using the
online settings for flash 8. They do not seem to stay however.

g'luck and if you hear anything or fix it please post,
