Different Right-Click functionality TPK

I create e-learning content (simulations) for my organization. Basically, we
show professionals how to use specific software and we use a LMS to track the
results.

We use standard Javascript and HTML with and without SWF files embedded in the
HTML pages to simulate how a program acts.
We are now starting to use Macromedia Captivate in order to speed up the
process. This works well for most projects where a combination of SWF and HTML
files are used.

There will be times where I will need to use pure Flash (Flash MX
Professional) with no HTML ?wrapping? the SWF file. Obviously this means I
won?t be able to use HTML and Javascript and instead will need to use
Actionscript (2.0).

In certain simulations I will need to illustrate how a user can right-click an
item within a piece of software to achieve a specific result. To simulate this
I will need to disable the Flash Player contextual menu displayed when a user
right-clicks on a SWF file.

At the same time I will also need to periodically enable right-click
functionality within the simulation for the user to correctly progress from one
point to the next. Obviously the Flash Player will want to produce its
contextual menu unless it is disabled.

In a situation where I am using SWF files with HTML and Javascript I can
successfully do this using Steven Shongrunden?s HTML/Javascript solution (only
works in IE 6):

Does anyone know of any tutorials, 3rd party products, etc. where within a
stand-alone Flash SWF file I can disable the right-click contextual (Flash)
menu and at the same time enable a right-click function?

The solution would need to be as platform and browser independent as possible
and work with the standard Flash Player.

Any Pointers?

I am cross posting this question to the Flash General Discussion and the Flash
Actionscript forums.

Thank you,

TPK
