flash (macromedia): I've flash player version 6 working fine on Mozilla Frefox. Can I also install
version 7 on Internet Explorer 6 ?
I've tried an online installation on IE but the ActiveX file is not
downloaded ....the GUI that ask the download
permission doesn't appear . All the ActiveX settings are in "prompt" state .
Is there something wrong ?:confused;
Thanks a lot.

sure, should not be a problem. I use to keep variety of player in different browsers
for testing purpose.

By any chance you have any spy ware cleaning programs ? Or Service Pack 2 upgrade ?
Some of the spyware programs block flash content , tho they can be set not to do so.

I've WinMe ,IE6 SP1 with all of the security updates installed.
I've tested with Ad-Aware,Spybot and Hijackthis . No problem.
To day I've installed Shockwave player without problem.
Isn't that WinMe doesn't support Flash Player vers. 7 ?
I've (and I had ) read the instructions ........but everything is OK.
I could try with the installer an offline installation . The instructions
say I have to uninstall a preceding installation before the new one.
I do not think I have to uninstall the my Firefox flash player , isn't it ?!??
Thanks a lot,...and Happy New Year and all the best to You.

I know that spy blaster blocks Flash , there is an option that allow to
set it ON and OFF.

ME does not support the authoring tool but player is a browser thing
so it should run w/o problem.

I would download the ActiveX for off line installation and try to manually
install it.
The player for IE is located in
C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash
Just copy paste it and it should work.
