flash (macromedia) : MX 2004 Professional IDE Idles at 50% CPU

I've noticed that my MX 2004 IDE on Windows XP SP 2 when NOT running any Flash
will just burn 50% CPU. I just have to open a single project and not even
compile or preview and Flash.exe is using significant CPU.

I know it is the IDE because if I type Ctrl-N to open a new document in the
IDE the CPU drops to near zero.

This can't be normal. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Steve

Yeah, it's rediculous. The Flash 2004 IDE is minimized in my taskbar, yet
Flash.exe is using 90% of my CPU. There's nothing running in the IDE, i just
have a few documents open. There's no reason for it to be using 90% of my CPU.
It's slowing down all my other programs. Ever since that update for the IDE
that uses idle cpu, the IDE has been soooooo slow all the time. Worst update
ever. It needs fixed.
