re shaping objects -- flash (macromedia)

flash (macromedia) : re shaping objects

every time i attempt to reshape an object like a square. it resizes BOTH SIDES
of the shop instead of just the side i want to extend or make smaller. how can
i make it to where i click the resize tool and can resize ANY side however much
i like without affecting the other sides??

Hold down ALT key while resizing and you LOCK to the only side you pull
