flash (macromedia): Hi All,

I'm currently using FlashMX and am getting ready to take on a touch screen
kiosk project that will use lots of little video clips and I am wondering if I
should buy .Flash MX 2004 Pro?

They definitely sell it up on the MM web site, but for those who have used it,
is it really that much better?

Better ? not really. Better perhaps if you like to load dynamically FLV , flash video files.
Because MX does not support that, it only takes SWF with video inside , MX 2004 player 7 allow
to load , stream FLV. Good in conjunction with COM server which will allow to stream them down the
player .Tho you can do the very same with SWF especially in kiosk where connection
speed is not a concern. Does it do better playback ? Not really , video was and is CPU intensive
and simply the larger the files (take bigger part of the screen) the slower it will run regardless
flash player 5 , 6 or 7.
I did really many kiosks , with bunch of video , some up to 140 clips , MX is just fine.
