flash (macromedia):
I have bought and read numerous books on flash and have yet to find the trick
that stops elements in my .swf file from slightly shifting as it moves through
the timeline when I use the stock transform effects of wiping and fading. For
example, I have a .jpeg image in the file and I wipe it in, I put the same
imaget in a new scene in the same X and Y coordinates, and I go to another
scene with the same coordinates and fade it out. Somewhere as I moved thorugh
the different scenes and timelines the image shifts slightly to the left,
right, up, or down.

Is there a trick on how to do this without getting that shift? Please help,
I've exhausted all resources!

That is an ancient bug that MM have yet to fix (after several years). There
is a technote at MM about it, and it suggests various sacrifices and
incantations you can use that might appease the gods of bitmap shifting.
