Fade effect problems within movie clip -- flash (macromedia)

The URL didn't come across right. Try this one. It worked for me but
I cannot work with the 2004 format:

Please have a look at this link

link to the .fla file doesn't work 1st time please try it again, it seems to be
hit and miss as to whether it works for some reason.
I know it's a bit basic, but we all start somewhere don't we, so if you could
tell me where i am going wrong i would really appreciate it.
