flash (macromedia):
I downloaded Macromedia's trial version of FlashMX 2004 regular and Pro. I
really want to try this software and check it to see how well it runs on my
system, before I buy it.
But I can't get the trial version to run. There is no activation to it.
Someone said that if I buy the Full version, that it would probably run. So
what, does that mean there is a file or dll or something missing from the trial
version they let you download and try for 30-days? That is why I was looking
to get the OEM version. Just for starters. It would be a full version and
than I could install it and see if it would run.
I did disable and turn off my Norton and Antispy software when I installed the
trial version. I don't have another version (OEM) of the software. I just
know where I can get it.
If Macromedia could help me figure out why I can't get the trial version to
run and help me to resolve this problem, then I could just buy the program
somewhere else and forget about the OEM all together.
I am in a position to help people who don't have resources available. I don't
have a lot of money, but I do have time. I want to create educational videos
and such to distribute to gradeschools and daycares and even highschools, that
would teach them about how to treat their pets and other animals, etc. I also
want to provide services to the Newfoundland Rescue Organization.
But if Macromedia doesn't want to help me get this resolved, I will just go
through other channels to figure out if this application is compatible with my
system. I really like what I have seen, and really want to use it.
In answer to your comment, no, they don't provide technical support on the
download version. What a dumb thing. I want to buy it, am willing to pay a
chunk of change to own it legally, and they won't help me fix this so i can
work in it a little while before I make a final decision to drop that chunk of
change.
