flash (macromedia) : how to create a virtual catalog

About a year ago I found a post here explaining how to create a virtual catalog
similar to these:

http://www.theglobeandmail.com/special/globe_golf/
http://www.internationalmale.com/viewcatalog1.asp

The effect is that it looks like the magazine is opening to the next page as
you click, in 3d. I believe it was some plug-in in Flash but I can't really
recall.

Anyone know specifically how that was done? Thanks in advance.

you will find 1 such explanation here - a simple google search will doubtless provide many others

I searched everywhere and finally came to couple of companies that offers
similar solutions. Check it out www.prefacemedia.com - the Preface8 eCatalog is
very powerful but I dont know if they are pricy or not. Otherwise check
www.RichFX.com who offer similar stuff.
