Thank you, I will try Adobe Audition. I am just looking for some original
background music and sound affects for Flash. Figured I could mix and create my
own by sampling different tracks to create something. Thanks again.

I've never heard of sound extractor. If you're looking for freeware,
try Audacity. There are probably others, but keep in mind, sometimes it's
really true when they say "you get what you pay for." Ripping CD tunes and
reducing their overall length is one thing; mixing and creating sound loops
is another. I use Adobe Audition ($$$) and love it.

You certainly can create your own, just don't underestimate the effort
it takes to do that kind of thing. There's a *lot* involved in multimedia
development. ;)

I have used sound extractor before... however, I am just wondering if anyone
knows of any other programs that work better for extracting and making sound
loops and mixing background sounds or creating sound effects?

Randy,

If you're looking for a comparable (and cheaper) piece of software, try
Audacity. The layout is similar to audition and, although it obviously is not as
powerful, it allows mixing (even live), editing, and a number of audio effects.
Best of all it's completely free so if you're unsure about what you're doing
it's worth a try. Not to take away from Adobe Audition though, which I have used
and enjoyed. You can also try Sound Forge (I think it's owner by Sony at this
point).

Patrick

Does anybody other than Adobe offer loops for Audition? The quality o
the included loops with this Audition is amazing but I want more MOR
MORE!
