flash (macromedia) : Navigate by Keyframes?

This is my second weeke using Flash and so far so good.

I am recreating a powerpoint presentation in flash. So I've gone through and
set up all of the 'slides' and the animations in them using flash and they work
fine. I now want to add navigation to let the user go forward backward, etc.
I would like the forward and backward buttons to take them to either the next
keyframe in that layer or to a spcified frame and then play until I tell it to
stop.

Is this possible or is there a better solution?

You'd have to learn some Actionscripting to build Next/Previous buttons that
work like that.

An alternative might be to explore the new MX2004 Slide screens. They have
built-in functions to make them act like Powerpoint. Look here:
