flash (macromedia):
Hi All,

I've searched everywhere and can't seem to find any hints or tips on how I can
create a flash movie which is updated graphically from a live database.

The movie needs to show a map of the world, on the map will appear dots where
equipment is located, the locations come from the database which changes all
the time.

Does anyone out there have any ideas on where I can get a rundown of this? I'm
sure it's not too difficult but I just can't seem to figure it out (bit of a
Flash Newbie!).

Thanks!

Tom

It isn't cheap but there is always ESRI. They
have several types of servers that will meet your
needs and you data would just be a layer on a map
you create. The refresh is then up to you. The
company I work for uses their software for
environmental consulting to show live feed for a
local bay in rhode island and there have been no
problems.
