flash (macromedia) : Export vector image from fla

Assuming of course that the source is vector (not imported raster),
file/export image--then select an appropriate format such as ai, emf, wmf...
Fwiw export is covered in the flash help. -Tom Unger

you mean export Image (not Movie).

sounds like you exported as an AI file - and opened in Illustrator. The
color change is because Flash uses RGB pallette and AI uses CMYK. the
colors get muted ging from flash to AI.

I'm just wondering if anyone here could be kind enough to inform me as to how one exports a vector image from an FLA file.

I tried doing Export Image and the graphics did not appear in Illustrator.
When I did it with Export Movie and save it as an Illustrator Sequence (.ai) it
came out good, besides the color which you mentioned. Do you know why this is,
