flash (macromedia): empsha;
You probably need to lower your trace settings. If the image is taking
that much time to trace, odds are that the resulting vector graphic would be
too complex to use in flash anyway. In addition to the information on the
trace settings found in the flash help, there is a technote at MM's flash
support that might help. You didn't describe what changes you wish to make,
but fwiw you may actually find it better to keep the image raster and make
the changes in an image editor before import. -Tom Unger

Hi

I am using the macromedia flash mx 2004 on a AMD 2000+ pc with 1GB of memory
and trying to trace to be able to modify the pictures. My problem is the time
it is taking! The file is a JPG and is only 72KB big but my process goes on
forever and then freezes.

help please

[quoted text, click to view]

Photo does not look good when traced as it become too chunky looking,
best if you reduce colors and posterize it first than apply the trace.
If it takes long there simply is too much details and if it take long to trace it will
be large as final file or slow in performance. So better work out something else
or as said above, reduce the colors or posterize the image.
