If you are still in Flash, try to make a new file and copy all the
frames and layers to the new file and save it with a new name.
If you are outside of Flash and the fla file will no longer open your
only hope may be to do a swf file to fla file conversion with a
decompiler like soThink SWF Decompiler. (if you have an swf file)
In the future, make a new file with a new name every hour at least,
especially if you use the horribly unreliable MX2004.

If you do have to start over from scratch, just remember this.. the
2nd time you create a project it will almost always go much faster
than the first time and usually will be a better version than the
first one. (I know from years of experience as a programmer, and many
times having to start a project over again)

Please dont shout.
and if you dont save then it's not saved. if flash crashed and closed
completely while you had unsaved work then it's gone - it will happen
with any file/program if you choose not to save your work and you
experience a crash.
