What's wrong with my components? I am following this tutorial I found at
http://www.macromedia.com/software/flash/productinfo/tutorials/gettingstarted/
and it said to drag and drop the components. The help file says the same
thing, but the components, the scroll bar and the combo box, do not function.

What could be the problem?

same thing...check your publish settings.
