I've just created a website, using a master movie in which several other swf's
load into. The text in my website is loaded using external txt files. However I
also want to link to other movies within my website in the text. Is this
possible or do I have to load the ext into flash and create a link by
converting part of the text to a symbol?

If you make your text fields html enabled and not just dynamic you can write
html into the text file

myvar=<a href="http://www.macromeida.com">Macromedia Website</a>&my2ndvar=your
normal text
