flash (macromedia):
Hello,

I had flash on my previous computer, recently bought a newer and powerfuler
one where i "installed" the software. Iam afraid that i didnt install it
properly because on the previous puter there was no problem exporting in
quicktime format. Now i just can't, it send me error message about my quicktime
version something. But i double checked quicktime is installed and runs fine
with mov files. What i did when tranfering flash betwen puter is i burned the
flash.exe files from first puter on CD then installed it on second computer.
Missing files?

Oh and also flash doesnt appear in macromedia folder in program files (while
it did on the first computer), other macromedia softwares are listed there tho
(captivate, coldfusion). What's wrong?

Thank you for helping

When you get the error again, right it down. Then do a search in this forum on
the error message. I would guess that you will find an answer.

Also the unorthodox nature of the "install" may certainly be causing your
problem.

Perhaps older computer was running older flash ?
Because Flash 5 is the only version you can use to export to MOV format.
QT is just not up to date with flash versions.
If you running MX or MX 2004 than you must go to File - Publish Setting and under FLASH tab
find the VERSIONS and set it to version 5, than exporting should be correct w/o errors.
