flash (macromedia): Okay, on my site, I want to make it look raised a little bit. What's the best
way to accomplish that? Using 2 lines as a light grey didn't work. It just
looks like half a rectangle. Using 3 lines and changing the color , right next
to each other isn't a smooth enought transition. Any ideas? I want the shadow
to be to the right and bottom of the movie.

Hi man. I used Photoshop to do the shadow effect. You only need to create a
regtangule or the shape you want it, or if you have the shape in flash, create
a new document copy there export like image, select png to preserve the
transparency (only the shape will export). In photoshop press F7 to see the
layer then select your shape and rigth click (in the layes windows) selct
blending options, select drop shadow and configure the shadow like you wan it,
press ok. in the layers windows select your layer clicking crtl on little
preview nto on the name..........ok?. there you will see that a mask create for
your shape. in the layers window, select the button "Create a new layer". When
you create a new layer select (in the layer window) the new empty layer and
your shape layer and press Ctrl + E (this is merge all layers). When you finish
this press delete. When you press delete the fill of your shape will disapear
and you preserve only the shadow. Then you can export the image. Press Ctrl +
Alt +shift +s (to export for web) and select png 24 to preserve transparency
and quality. Dont worry for th weight a big shadow (800 * 600 px) weight is
2kb. I hope this can help you.

Other way is do it directly in flash with the colors and fill option, but
never will look so good........... you can take and idea from the
components............
