flash (macromedia) : Streaming Audio Crackles

First of all, I'm trying to sync my audio up perfectly with animations because
it is a long presentation with several voice-over mp3's.

The best way I've found to sync up the audio "perfectly" is to drag it on to
the timeline and set it to stream. The only problem is that when I do this and
test the movie the audio makes a bunch of cracking or crackling sounds. I've
tried all of the different settings and even went into the properties box from
the library and tested it. It sounds FINE when I test from this box and on the
timeline. It's only when I export the movie that it sounds crappy.

Any help???

Have you clicked the mp3 file names in the library and set their esport
settings? By default Flash chooses the lowest 16kbps and mono
compression. It's a bit too low for voices though I think. I'm just
working on a project now and trying to find the best setting for small
file size versus quality on some narration. At 16 they are a bit warbly
sounding.

No- that's not it. But I did seem to solve the problem. I took my original wav
files and brought them into my audio editor (Audacity) and I re-saved them as
the same format- .wav. Dont ask me how or why, but once I imported these new
..wav files into Flash- NO MORE CRACKING or Popping!! I have no idea why...but
I'm just glad it worked!
