Thanks in Advance

GAY

1. Of, relating to, or having a sexual orientation to persons of the same
sex.
2. Showing or characterized by cheerfulness and lighthearted excitement;
merry.
3. Bright or lively, especially in color: a gay, sunny room.
4. Given to social pleasures.
5. Dissolute; licentious.

I'm hoping your meaning 2 & 3... So you want something simple and dark?

Apology accepted. Glad you found something to help.

BTW, if you are using MX04 I really recommend the MovieClipLoader class. Check
it out in the help files ? there is sample code there as well. It has the
onLoadProgress event which can be used to run your preloader and the
onLoadComplete event which you can use to hide or get rid of the preloader.

In that tutorial it mentions that pre-loaders are generally placed in their
own scene. I'm not sure if that is really true. There are lots of gotchas
waiting to happen when you mix scenes and actionscript. I would recommend
making the pre-loader its own movieclip which you can stop/play and _visible at
will.

Also remember that all the content of frame one needs to load before any
actionscript can execute. So if you have a lot of things exported in first
frame, use MM components (actually even have them in your library!), or make a
big preloader it might not start when you think it should.

Good luck!
