Hi... I'm making a banner. My banner's simple: text scrolling, fading in and
out in a fixed background...

I did this in Fireworks, but the resulting file (40 frames) was 110 KB
!!!??!!!!!???

I mean, I was expecting something around 15 KB!!!

My banner's really simple, so I'm not getting it..

Do you think that with FLASH, the kind of animation I want to make will be
smaller (15 KB)?

ANy good tutorials?

The ideal would really be an animated GIF...

the 40 frames does not mean it will be small, could be each frame with large JPG image.
GIF can be small but only if you keep to little colors take time to properly optimize it.
But if you ask me, I would go with flash, it's definitely much smoother when it comes to
playback.
