Hi all,
I bought the Upgrade to Studio 8. I am having trouble installing the
Macromedia Flash 8 Video Encoder. First I did a complete Studio
install......but the encoder didn't install.....so then I put Disk 1 in of 2 ,
and tried installing just the Flash 8 Video Encoder that way. It starts
installing, then asks me to insert Disk 1.....well Disk 1 is already in the CD
player....so I click OK...and then in few seconds it comes up and asks me the
same question.....I tried Disk 2 in case it was a error asking which Disk...but
it gives me the same message. "Installing Macromedia Flash 8 Video
Encoder......Please insert Disk 1"....Welll, Disk 1 is in the CD
player...grrrrrrrrrrr.....any ideas on how to get this part installed???...I
need help. I'm using a Pentium D with 1GB of memory, and 250GB HD.....a PC not
a Mac. Thank you for any help you can give me.

I installed mine by inserting the disk and selecting the encoder install from
the main menu. I installed the individual components manually. So for the
encoder I installed mine into E:\Program Files\Macromedia\Flash 8 Video
Encoder. It installed smoothly.

Hi HK,

Thanks for the hint.....I tried it and it was a no go...so I uninstalled the
Video Encoder and then installed it individually and..... ta da.........it
worked just like you said it would. Thanks a million.
