flash (macromedia):
Any ideas? My projector 8 movie plays back fine and snappy at actual size
(800x600), but when viewed full screen playback slow's noticeably. At full
screen, the movie is not being scaled, nor are any elements outside the 800x600
area, just white space around the movie. Seems to play fine on the PC by the
way, but was created with Flash 8 on the mac.

it's possible to trigger rendering of elements below the white space (I
assume it's a white rectangle with a hole in the middle or a mask?) which
would slow it down.

If you're using a mask try the rectangle with a hole method. if you're
already doing this or just not having any elements outside in first place
you could try:

- maybe some 3rd party projector, many of them handle this better using
opengl/directx acceleration to redraw in fullscreen (note, just to blit the
frames, not really do true acceleration of vectors or else).
- wait a bit until MacTels are available and it'll be speedy on your Mac too
(sorry couldn't resist, I like Macs but the flash player has a history of
running poorly on PowerPC chips.. :)
