flash (macromedia):
Hi all - trying to get a movie put together for my site with about 10 images
with a nice vertical line transition between images...the effect I'd like to
mimic can be see at http://www.americanapparel.net/ - I understand its a mask,
but I'm using MX 2002 and didn't know if I could use image files as masks (I
think this is what was done). If anyone has any suggestions or good links to
turtorials on this - that would be great!
Thanks much.
Ty

In such stuff you don't use image as mask. You make movie clip on top of the image with shape tween.
On few layers place separate shape tween that scale similar way as in the link than you
place it on top of movie clip and use it as mask. Mask can be animated movie clip.
Once the mask is done playing you can forward some movie clip to jump frame to next image so the next
time you play the mask it will reveal next photo. It could be on timer using setInterval.
