flash (macromedia): When im in the document, the mask is working, and if I drag the timeline to
preview it works fine, but if i "test movie" it doesnt show the masked part..

works w/o problem in here.
I notice one thing, the movie is very small and the animation is OFF stage, that is why
you can't see it, tho if you make the movie higher than 400 than you will see the mask.

It's not, on top of the layer you will find 3 icons. An eye, padlock
and square outline. Select that outline, it will change view of all
layers to outlines. The large White rectangle is an actual stage size.
Flash do not get size based on graphics your draw, it has it's size define
under movie properties. Whatever is outside of the stage, will be cropped.
In your case an entire animation happen almost off the stage.

In regard to settings, I did not do anything, I use all as it came with the
file, except changing the stage size, CTRL J That's it.

what?!? its center stage for me.... and when you say it works without
problem, you mean when you publish the swf, the masks work and everything??
what are you publish settings, maybe thats where im messed up??

o now i see, its because i didnt change the stage to the appropriate size in
the snippit. it should be 1200w X 900h..

sorry can't help you, it works here w/o problem and Im using your file w/o any
modifications. Just the stage size, nothing else.

try to change font, perhaps the font on your computer is not suitable.
