Also known as "The Chipmunk Bug" - The problem is with MP3 files that use a
variable bit rate. However, the core of the problem is with the sampling
rate. There are several sampling rates that are acceptable to Flash and
these are 11, 22, 32 and 44.1 Khz. These are generally regarded as the
"standard" rates by most of the software that I have used, but certainly
software like iTunes allow you to choose alternates, and in some cases if
you choose "auto", they may encode the mp3 with a non-compatible sampling
rate for Flash. To be on the safe side, you probably should encode the files
with a fixed bitrate (unless you absolutely have to use variable) and always
