flash (macromedia): Just need to confirm there is no way for a swf file, residing on a web server,
to access files on a local machine. A client wants to build a web-hosted flash
interface that allows users to view files stored on their local machine,
however I am pretty certain this is impossible..correct?

I believe that the only way to do this is to convert the swf to a downloadale
projector built using 3rd-party tools such as mProjector or Zinc. Then it
should be able to do pretty much anything.
