Where to POST jobs

Where to POST jobs malameel

flash (macromedia): Hello,
When trying to hire good flash artists, it has been difficult to find good
places where they tend to conjugate. Obviously this is not the places to post
the actual job listing, but where does an employer go to find qualified artists
that love the job and won?t bend me over a barrel? (Don?t get me wrong, we pay
well, but lately I keep getting ?newbies? that expect the same pay as an
experience designer.) And yes I am looking for long term in house full time
job. This is not an outsourcing gig.

Can anybody point me in the right direction?
Thanks,
Malameel

Thanks for the reply, I did post a job. Sadly, I saw some tumble weeds and
dust flowing over there. I bet if I had my speakers turned up, I would hear
crickets. Looks like a rarely visited area of the site. :)

:)
that is right, tumble weeds and dust

Well, you can always try here and ActionScript forum. These are the most active.
Just place OT (Off Topic) in the topic line so you won't get bashed for Off topic
posting.

Hm... if it were a quick outsourcing job I would recommend rentacoder.com.

Greetings,

I am in the developmental stages of creating a freelance website where
coders and code-buyers can interact in a single marketplace on the
Internet. The goal of the website is to save time and money by
expediating the process of finding work.

The website is going to be free to sign up. There will be no cost
associated with code-buyers other than placing the money into escrow at
bid acceptance. If the project is completed successfully, the coder
will get the money. If the project is not completed successfuly, the
money would be returned to you. The only money my company will collect
is a small percentage from the coders when the project is complete.
This money covers the cost of operations and a small profit.

If you are interested, please feel free to sign-up on my website -
codeBuyers.com. We are looking to open our doors by January 2008. In
the meantime, we hope to gather many coders and code-buyers. When we
open our doors, we should have a decent market size within a few weeks.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to
contact me.

Thank you for your time and concideration.

Sincerely,
Travis Walters

Hi,
if you are looking for freelancers, try www.odesk.com, it is a new evolution
in the remote hiring sites, I worked with them for some times.
The advantage of this site that it gives you full control on the project and
make sure that you got your work done in its actually working hours and make
sure that the freelancer gets his money accoring to this basis.

Hope this helps

I do not want freelancers. I am trying to find up to 2-3 full time web
designers.

I now already registered at www.keyframer.com/forum, but cannot use it because
I need to wait for approval from the great admin. Come on Chris, its just a
forum! :)

Hi,
I myself think the people that use forums are active people and their participations are a good evident on they are up-to-date with the technology.

I am not sure what you mean. Are you saying that because freelancers are
posting on forums that they must be trustworthy and competent? Also up-to-date?

Sorry, but I have to disagree. I have been through to many outsourcing
fiascos to play that game.

I only have two concerns, the quality of their work which is displayed by
their portfolio and their work ethics which will be displayed at work.

Hi,
What I am trying to say is forums can be a good place to find a good
professional especially when their posts show deep concern about the technology
and ability to deal with the problems. I know that there are beginners in the
forums, and you will know that from their Resume, portfolio and interviewing
them.

there are many other recuiting sites, either free or not, but forums is just
another useful way to find a good professional for your job.

try to look at http://www.coroflot.com/ or http://hotjobs.yahoo.com/

you can try posting to my flash forum over at:

www.keyframer.com/forum
it is extremely active and full of falsh designers and animators. If you don't want to sign up to
post, feel free to send me the job info and I will post it - heck I may just start a whole new forum
section devoted to "jobs" if need be.

-email me off-list if interested.

Monster.com is pretty expensive, and I always wonder if they work. So I have
been hoping to find where artist hang out, which i don't think is monster.com.
However, any sugestions would be helpful. I would rather pay an artist more
than giving it away to monster.com

ok - your account should be activated - i had to force registration of new users to be activated
manually by me - i have been forced to screen all new registrations manually because of the
overwhelming amount of spambots. As a result - the keyframer forum is 100% spam free :)

The only drawback is that sometimes it takes up to 24 hours for me to verify each account. For every
100 new registrants, about 3 are legit - no exaggeration.

Ah yes, then I do agree. Currently, that is how I do find most my people, by
posting on the job boards on various sites. However, I wasn't so sure where
flash guys hang out since I myself am old school and have been out of teh web
stuff for a while.
