When the mouse rolls over the big bubble, two smaller satellite bubbles appear
and float around the bigger bubble. These bubbles stay visible until the mouse
rolls off the hit area of the button.

How can I add separate actions to the satellite bubbles?

Flash doesn't let me add actions the the satellite bubble movie clips and, if
I add a hotspot button over the satellite bubble movie clips, this hotspot
layered over the hit area of the button itself, makes the little bubbles go on
and off really fast.

Please help.

Hi,
You can not feel the movieclips effect because you overlayed hot area prevent
this.
You can do it with the following senario:
1- when you click the big button, the timeline goes to another frame where the
animation of the small buttons
2- add you code to the buttons and when rollout the buttons, give it a code to
go back to the first frame when the big button is alone.
