flash (macromedia): I have a button inside a symbol. but when I rollover the button it doesn't work. How do I make it work?

Inside what symbol kind of symbol ? Buttons work within graphics and movie clips
so you must be placing it within button, which is not a correct way to arrange content,
or movie clip that has button handlers attach to it. In the second case the movie clip
cancels the button actions.

What symbol did you place it in ?
