flash (macromedia): I'm working on the animation of a movie projector. I would like there to be a
beam of light from the front that projects and flickers onto the screen on the
wall.

Could anybody suggest some keywords or examples to get me started.

I searched for the keyword flicker, but most people were complaining that they
did not want it.

Thanks
Mathias

Thanks Urami.

I can get sort of a fake flicker by randomly changing the alpha on a movie
clip. My cheesy example here. I'm still very far from done, but it is slowly
getting there.

I've got to figure out a way to dynamically skew the text since what's playing
will be fed from an external file.

Side Thought: I really hope they fix this forum so I don't have to log in
every time I want to post something. The Adobe forms remember me, but these
never do. Hey wait, this Adobe now isn't it?

YOu need to work with gradients. It's hard to explain and to be honest I'm still
not entirely sure how the ray of lights goes, what position is the projector.
Meantime you may want to search for "ray of light" , could be close to what you look for.
