Both formats are postscript--is the file or extension actually being
altered by download in ie as opposed to other browsers? -Tom Unger

I have a Flash site set up that allows users to dowload .eps graphics for their
own use, but for some reason when the user is doing so in IE it converts the
file into a .ps file. It works fine in Firefox and all the other browsers I've
tried, but for some reason IE wants to save them as .ps files.

I'm using the URL Link box in the Properties panel (download/graphic1.eps) to
let the user download the files in the Flash movie. Is there another way I
should be linking them for download? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The file itself seems to be unchanged, IE is just changing the extension to
..ps when the Save As dialog box pops up. The main problem is that people have
been calling to complain about it, even though they can easily type .eps in the
Save As box themselves. Unfortunately, a lot of the users are not very
computer-savy, so they don't fully understand file extensions and formats.

Perhaps zipping the file would allow them to maintain the eps extension
when it's unzipped? -Tom Unger
