I am creating a slide flash document. I place buttons on the parent screen to naviagte the child screens. i want to use the go to screen, and not simply next slide previous slide. The buttons I am creating to navigate are simply text converted to a button. It seems very random, but often times when I do this, it generates a message like this when I test my .swf file: **Error** Screen=slide50, layer=Layer 1, frame=1:Line 5: ')' expected if((_root.presentation.slide50.50infoslide != undefined) && (_root.presentation.slide50.50infoslide != null)) Total ActionScript Errors: 1 Reported Errors: 1 Any idea how to fix this? It seems like when I create a graphic and convert it to a button, I am not getting this issue, but with the text converted to button, I am. Also, if it doesnt happen when I first create the button, I can get it to happen very often if I rename the slide and then update the button behaviour to point tothe new slide name. This seems to break my flash file easily. any ideas? I can make the .fla files available if anyone thinks that would help. Chris Fullmer
OK, playing around right now, it appears that maybe it was when I was changing the name of the slide and then updating the button behaviour. It looks like when I don't save the file then test my .swf it gives me errors. If i save it first, then test the swf, it appears to work. Any ides on that if that is a known problem or a perhaps a planned property of the program?
