The final prizes of life are at the end of journey, not near the
beginning; and it is not given to me to know how many steps are
necessary in order to reach my goal. Failure I may still encounter at
the thousandth step, yet success hides behind the next bend in the
road. Never will I know how close it lies unless I turn the corner.

Combine real-time software action with .avi Trasea

I talked my boss into getting studio 8 for me to create marketing videos, using
Flash. I've created some nice software demo videos using captivate. I've been
through the basic Flash tutorials and have created some rudimentary flash
projects.

Now I want to create my marketing video using some .avi with a smiling
narrator, and then transition into showing the software - I cannot just take
screen captures because the software is fluid - it needs real-time capturing.
I want the narrator to continue to narrate (voice only) as the software portion
plays - and I want to throw in a few summary slides (also with voice only
narration). My final video should be no more than 60 seconds.

I've tried bringing captivate to Flash, and it looks awful. I can't see how
to clean it up -

What is a good approach to combining these elements? I have searched many
tutorials, even purchased video training, but I have not found anything on this
topic. A good book on making this type of project would be great.

Suggestions, please! :confused;
