flash (macromedia): Hi,
I've never encountered anything like this. This site I designed is for some
reason NOT completely viewable on some computers. Its completely viewable on
my computer, but we've been getting emails from people that can't view some of
the text others can't view some of the graphics, I'm at my wits end here and I
don't know what to do. PLEASE HELP!

Your HTML says you need flash player 6 .. but your SWF is for flash player 8

So people with Flash Player 7 or earlier will not be able to correctly view
your site .. but they won't get any messages etc because your html is
'lying' about what player it needs.

You need to ensure your HTML is telling the truth about the Flash Player
required.

No .. you need version=8,0,22,0 ... because what you've done is tell it you
need version 7.8.19.0 .. but there is no version 7.8.19.0

I don't know what to do to make dreamweaver do the right thing

WOW, thank you so much! I would have never figured that out.

so I changed the zero to an eight:

<object classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000"
codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#ve
rsion=7,8,19,0" width="700" height="600" title="espanol">
<param name="movie" value="dsa.swf">

this prompted the browser to install flash 8, but now how do I get Dreamweaver
to always have this code instead of "version=7,0,19,0"? Is there some sort of
preference I can change in dreamweaver or do i have to manually change the code
every time?
