Shouldn't be "usually" should be "always." That is how it works in Flash.

However there is nothing stopping you from moving it after it has fully loaded.

If you are using the MovieClipLoader (and you should be), then just put some
code in the onLoadInit event handler that gets the _width and _height and moves
the _x and _y by the inverse amount.
