flash (macromedia): I need to have a calendar in a website. The calendar needs to be updated by my client and he wants to know if it can be an excell file.

Calendar data can be derived from an XML file, or a database through PHP or ColdFusion, but there is no support for importing Excel files...You will need to reformat your data.

no you can't.
Flash loads variable string which can be in all kind of forms, but it can't load actual excell files.
Perhaps XML ? Client could edit it using notepad.
