Why does Flash 7 on IE6 on pc not show the white bar on the preloader of this
Flash (click on one of the buttons that is shaped like a talk balloon to play
the movies) http://www.brandspa.net/talks/index.htm

It shows on other version/browser combinations of Flash -- Firefox w/Flash8 on
Mac & PC, IE 5 on Mac, Netscape w/Flash 8 on PC).

It is simply a symbol that is using a shape tween to make it stretch.

Tom,

That was exactly it! Thank you so much for your help -- I had exported the
Flashes as Flash 8 but the version detection in the HTML file was for Flash 7
-- I re-published as Flash 7 and everything shows up.

Gratefully,
Darlene
