You sure don't give us a lot of time to answer, right?

1) I guess you put a sound into the first frame and selected "Event" in the
Sync box. If you put any other thing in there it won't play double or triple.
If you want the sound to loop as your movie does, select "Stream". If you want
it to play independently of the looping movie, select "Start".

2) You must create an invisible button that covers your whole stage and place
the sound into its "over" state

Aha, see, in this property box you will find a "Sync" combo-box. There you can
select the things I wrote about: "Stream", "Event" and so on.

Or do you have trouble with the second part? Do you know how to make a button?
How to put something into the button's "over" state?

ah right, didnt have the arrow collapsed all the way, so it hid the part with
the sync box in.

ok, so, the 2nd part im stuck with, i can drag a button to the stage lol, but
ive been having trouble with the buttons lol.

No, you can't do it with a button component (those are the ones dragged to
stage). You have to create your own.
It's easy:
1) Make a new layer, move it to the lowest position. Everything on this layer
will now become "background".
2) Now draw a small rectangle. Select it by double-clicking it. Change the
properties, so that X and Y are 0 (upper left corner) and width and height are
like the stage (default: 550x400). Don't worry about the colour, change that
after it all works.
3) with the rectangle still selected, change it into a button - that's the
easiest part: press F8 and select "Button". You can give it a nice name if you
want. The properties window should now have changed to "button"
4) Double-click the button - the timeline will change to just four frames that
are called up, over, down and hit.
5) Select the "over" state and insert a keyframe. Click that frame and add the
sound like you did before, selecting "Start"
6) Select the "up" state, select the same sound, but with "Stop"
Test your movie
If all works, double click your button once again, select the rectangle on the
stage - the property box should show "Shape" - and change the colour to "no
colour"

What banner? Banner is not a concept in Flash. Maybe you are talking about your
stage, which has the size of a banner in a webpage?
I guess you should probably start with a few tutorials. www.kirupa.com is
excellent. There are also some on Macromedia's site.
Good luck

The button is supposed to cover the whole area of the stage. It doesn't matter
what else is on the stage, pictures, text fields, etc., because the button will
be at the lowest layer, i.e. behind all other objects.

hellofishy, you've sent me private mail with the same message, except that
you've also mentioned
"i think the problem has something to do with the up, over, down and hit
because i cudnt find them lol"
And I responded to that:
"If you can't find the up over down and hit states of a button you haven't yet
grasped some of the very basics of Flash. You seriously need to do your
homework (work through the manual, the tutorials and the help file).
I'm sorry but explaining any further is a waste of my time"
I stand to it.
