flash (macromedia): When I export a flash movie I made, which has about 15 layers, into Adobe
GoLive CS2 I see that only like 2 or 3 layers are shown when I preview the page
in my browser. What did I do wrong? I tried exporting it again and again but I
can't seem to make it work.

Please help me out here. Thank you very much

it's really hard to guess, will need the source file or detail
explanation what kind of stuff you have in that file.
By any chance you export it to earlier version ?

I'll start from the beginning. I made a flash animation in Macromedia Flash 8.
It contains about 15 layers with various types of text and image animations.
When I export it, that means create a usable SWF-file for insertion into an
HTML-page, I don't see the correct animation as it was created in Flash. When I
preview the HTML-file with the SWF-animation in it, I only see the background
color and two images... No text or everything else I created.

To illustrate this, here's a pic of what it SHOULD look like:

And this is what it really looks like, unfortunately:

I hope you can help me out, since this is very annoying. Thank you in advance!

Change your text from DYNAMIC to STATIC, and you all set.
The rest, could not tell, need to see the source file.

How do I do that exactly? Can you give me your email address, so I can send you
the file we're talking about. Changing the text from dynamic into static sounds
a lot like eliminating the crucial animated part of the flash movie...

Do you have msn by any chance? My email address is:
charlesdejong3000@hotmail.com

Thanks for the trouble. I appreciate it.

all kind filters and I generally block all kind of attachments.
If possible zip it.

Hi
I had the same problem with an intro for a website in flash 8.
I found a solution for that problem: my main animation was on top of other
file.
I use a square as a movie clip(alpha % low) then enbed my animation in this
mc. Then back to the scene and with the alpha cursor I ,manage the % to have a
good view of this animation evryting look good and now we can see every
layers.:cool;

inbed your layer as a movie clip then when you are done with go back to the
front scene and adjust the alpha % to see the indeded anim.

step by step

1- start a new layer in the time line
2- draw a square with you scqr tool
3- click on center
4- click f8 click the movie button name it myanim_mc ok
5- double clic on the sqare now you are on the new movie timeline

6- go back to you animation layer
7- select the file of you animation the all line of the annimation is now
selected
8- copy this layer and go back to the new time line
9- (double click on the square)
10-create a new layer in this timeline and paste the frame on a new layer (
right click and paste the frame) in the time line.

11- back to the scene and in your properties adjust the alpha chnel % to see
the animation
you are done and you can remove the original file with your animation

It *sounds* like that but it is not true - "Static" refers to the text field's behavior - you can
animate static text all you want - you are not stopping the animation. The issue here - which has
been discussed in hundreds of threads here over the years - is that the text is not showing up
because it is set to dynamic and the font outlines have not been embedded so that the browser player
renders them properly - setting the text fields to Static will embed the font automatically - do
what Urami suggests before sending the FLA to her - she's probably right and it will take you under
a minute to find out by changing 1 text field to Static.
