Do you happen to have an audio editing program called Audacity?

have you gone to your control panel > Sounds and made sure the right sound card is selected?

I have a PC with windows XP on it, sound card is realtek. I tried everything I
can think of, like deleting some unnecessary audio codecs, reinstalling flash 8
plugin, but I still couldn't get any sound when I use flash 8, IE, firefox. I
know quite a few people have experience that, any solution...

I have a built in sound card Realtek HD, and it is selected as the sound card,
everything else works, windows media, real player, quicktime, etc, everything
has sound come out, but not flash... it never happened before until flash 8 is
out.

No I don't have that program, I had sound forge, but I remove that program and
it still does the same thing... I have researched on all the forums and groups
to try to find a solution, but it just doesn't seem like there is a solution to
this
