What operating system and version of flash are you using and was it
installed via download from the Macromedia/adobe site? If so, did you get
the back-up cd?

You make it more difficult for others to provide free help by not
answering their questions or offering sufficient information...
That said, I do remember seeing a similar issue with an earlier version
of flash on macs which (if memory serve) was caused by a conflict with Adobe
Type Manager. It should be tech-noted at Macromedia flash support.
If that is not it, and a clean re-install does not help, I would suspect
a similar conflict might be causing the problem in your case. Basic system
troubleshooting for your OS should help you to narrow down what is causing
the problem... -Tom Unger

"reload"? not sure what you mean by that - if you mean *reinstall* then yes - as i also mentioned
you should do.

I am in immediate help to figure out why Flash 8 is not allowing me to get my
stage in the screen???? I have tryed everything - I am new to Flash and yet
did some training and have set the properties to fit pixel size - color
background, everything - and yet the stage literally will not show at all.
Please help if anyone knows how to get this working properly. Thank you

What do you mean? You don't see the stage in the Flash authoring tool? Or you
don't see anything you've put on the stage after publishing the movie and
looking at it in the browser?
If the latter, usually the swf file has not been loaded, because it's in the
wrong directory or similar.

Sure, when I open up Flash to start a new document, I have my timeline in view,
my tool bars in view, but no stage. I do not have the square space (called the
stage) coming up to work on. The only thing that shows is the basic background
screen that would be visible behind the stage. I can not do any actual work in
Flash - because the stage is not there to place items onto. I am wondering if
this is an issue that anyone has heard of happening.

This is indeed strange.
